[SG] Reservist Leave

National Service (NS) is the national policy in Singapore mandated by statutory that requires all male Singaporean citizens and Singapore permanent residents to serve a period of compulsory service in the uniformed services.

 

If your staff is serving reservist, here's what you need to know to setup Reservist Leave in HReasily:

 

 

Creating Reservist Leave

 1. Go to Manage Company on the left sidebar

2. Navigate to Leave tab

3. Next, scroll to the Leave Types section

4. Click Create

 

5. In the pop-up screen, input the necessary information and click SAVE.

 

 

 

 

Assigning Reservist Leave

1. Go to Manage Company on the left sidebar

2. Navigate to Leave tab

3. Next, scroll to the Leave Types section

4. Navigate to the Reservist Leave you've created. Click on ACTIONS then choose Assign to Multiple Employees

5. Tick selected employees you'd like to assign

6. [OPTIONAL] You may amend the entitlement amount if it differs from setup simply by updating the entitlement field.

7. Lastly, hit SAVE to proceed.

 

 

 

How to pay CPF for National Service Claim 

1. Click Manage Company option on the left sidebar.

 

 

2. Navigate to Payroll Info tab

3. Scroll down to the Pay Item List tab then click on CREATE button.

 

4. Create a deduction Pay item called NS Claim Amount Deduction. Kindly follow below instructions:

 

Settings:
- Deduction
        - Does Not Apply to CPF

        - IR8A Code is Gross Salary
        - Variable, Ad-hoc Amount

 

5. Lastly, in your payroll table, click ADD PAY ITEM and select NS Claim Amount Deduction pay item

This will deduct the CPF for the amount that MINDEF will reimburse the employee which you are required to pay for.
