Submitting CP22 for New Employees via LHDN MyTax Portal

Modified on Wed, 5 Feb at 10:29 AM

Form CP22 is a mandatory notification form in Malaysia for employers to report newly hired employees who are, or are expected to be, subject to income tax. Employers must submit the form to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) within 30 days of the employee’s start date. Employers can submit CP22 either by visiting the nearest LHDN office or online via the MyTax Portal.

The e-CP22 submission feature is available online through MyTax. However, only a Company Director with an Employer role in MyTax can submit the form. If necessary, the director can appoint an Employer Representative to manage the submission on behalf of the company.

Follow this step-by-step guide to submit e-CP22 forms via the LHDN MyTax Portal:

1. Access your account by logging in to the MyTax portal.

2. Under Role Selection, choose Employer (if you are the director) or Employer Representative (if authorized).

3. Click on ezHasil Services and select e-CP22 from the available options.

4. Enter the required employer and employee details, then click Next to proceed.

5. Under Data Transmission by Data Input, enter the employee's details and click Add Employee.

6. Fill in the employee’s full details, including salary and tax information.

8. Once submitted, an acknowledgment slip will be generated. Print or save the slip as proof of submission for future reference.
