If you encounter a Mock Location or GPS error on the mobile app, it’s often due to the use of GPS-altering apps, VPNs, or certain phone settings that interfere with location tracking. These can prevent the app from accurately detecting your location.
Start by disabling any GPS spoofing apps or VPN services and resetting your GPS. If the issue continues, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Restart your phone – Turn it off and on again.
Toggle location services – Turn location services off, then back on.
Close background apps – Exit all open apps before starting your activity. Avoid switching to other apps while recording.
Disconnect from Wi-Fi – Ensure you’re not connected to a Wi-Fi network before starting your activity.
Perform a GPS reset:
Double-tap the home button to view running apps, then swipe up to close them.
Go to Settings and enable Airplane Mode.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings (note: you’ll need to re-enter your Wi-Fi passwords).
Once the reset is complete, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and toggle it off, then on again.
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services and turn Setting Time Zone off.
Check for battery or system optimization apps – Some apps, like Advanced Task Killer or Juice Defender, may disable GPS or close background apps. Adjust their settings or disable them to allow proper GPS tracking.
