[MY] Guide to Setting Up Contract Staff

This guide is designed to assist you in configuring the necessary settings for contract staff to ensure smooth and accurate payroll processing. It covers key steps such as defining employment status, setting up contributions, and generating statement slips, making it easier to manage contract staff.


Configuring Employment Status


1. On your Dashboard, go to Staff Directory page.


2. Navigate to the employee's Payroll Info page that needs an employment status update, and click GO.


3. Scroll down to Current Employment section then click EDIT.


4. In the Employment Status field, select Temp/Contract Staff from the dropdown list. 

 

5. Finally, enter the required details and click CREATE NEW RECORD or UPDATE.


Important: Select "Create New Record" to add a new employment history entry, and "Update" to modify the existing record.



Setting Up Contributions

HReasily allows for the configuration of voluntary contributions for self-employed individuals. Below are the steps to enable these features:


i-Saraan Voluntary Contribution

1. On the employee's payroll page, find the Employee Payroll Info section and click “EDIT.”


2. Scroll down to locate the EPF Details section, check the box labeled "Does this employee contribute to EPF?" and adjust the EPF contribution rate to 0%.


3. After setting the contribution rate, configure the i-Saraan Contribution Type, i-Saraan Amount and Third Party Voluntary Contribution accordingly.


4. Once these setups are completed, click “SAVE.”


SKSPS (Self-Employment Social Security Scheme) 

1. On the employee's payroll page, find the Employee Payroll Info section and click “EDIT.”


2. Scroll down to locate the Socso Details section. In the Socso Type field, select "Skim Keselamatan Sosial Pekerjaan Sendiri" from the dropdown menu.

Additionally, make sure to untick the tax and EIS and options where applicable.


Generating Statements

In the payroll, a statement will be automatically generated for contract workers for their reference.
