In payroll management, certain default pay items—such as Benefits-In-Kind, Deductions, and Perquisites—are typically hidden and cannot be modified. However, with this new update, you now have the option to make these default pay items visible and adjustable within the pay items list.
This feature allows for greater flexibility in managing payroll while maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. To enable this option, please contact support, as activation requires backend configuration.
Once this feature is enabled, you will be able to modify the following details for these pay items:
- Name
- Pay Item Code
- Statutory Contributions Setting
To ensure compliance and system integrity, do not modify the following settings:
- Category
- EA Category
- Amount Type
- Pay Item Amount
Once enabled, these default pay items will appear in the pay items list alongside other existing pay items.
