Setting up time attendance advance calculations

It is common to have a certain amount of tolerance when calculating lateness, undertime and overtime. Here's how to setup the tolerance settings for the necessary calculations.


1. Go to Manage Company



2. Navigate to Time Attendance Info tab



3. Scroll down to Time Attendance Advance Setting section and click EDIT



4. In the pop-up screen, select the calculation that applies: Overtime, Lateness and/or Undertime.



Glossary:

  1. Overtime
    Time worked in addition to one's normal working hours.


    Count Overtime based on start and end working hours
    - Tolerance Overtime (Start Working Hour)
    [Example: If an employee's shift starts at 9:00am and tolerance is set to
    15, overtime calculation will only count before 8:45am]
    - Tolerance Overtime (End Working Hour)
    [Example: If an employee's shift ends at 6:00pm and tolerance is set to
    15, overtime calculation will only count from 6:15pm onwards]

    Count Overtime based on daily working hours
    [Example: If an employee works 8 hours a day and tolerance is set to 15,
    overtime calculation will only count once the employee works over 8
    hours 15 minutes]

    Count Overtime based on custom settings
    Maximum Salary
    [Note: Any employee with basic salary above the indicated maximum
    salary will not be included in overtime calculations]
    Employment Statuses
    [Note: Overtime calculations will only apply to groups that have been
    ticked]

  2. Lateness
    {Example:  If an employee's shift starts at 9:00am and tolerance is set to 15,
    lateness deduction calculation will only count after 9:15am]

  3. Undertime
    {Example:  If an employee's works 8 hours a day and tolerance is set to 15,
    undertime deduction will only count if the employee works fewer than 7hours 45minutes]


Important Note: To ensure that time attendance is calculated accurately, kindly ensure that the working schedules of all employee have been setup correctly.
